FAQ's
I'm not sure anyone will take my survey, how can you help?
We recommend you distribute your survey through your social media or email accounts. In our packaged tier pricing we offer a wide range of additional fee-based survey distribution services. If you require more assistance beyond what we provide, you can book additional reach out sessions with the guidance or assistance of our preferred vendors and partners via Relevant Reach. Additionally, you can book one-on-one REACH OUT strategy sessions à la carte in our Amplify and Impact service plans.
Will you send the survey out to my email list or contacts for me?
No. Due to compliance reasons with multiple service providers, we do not encourage you or allow us to import or manage email lists, or your email marketing accounts. Nor do we function as an email service provider. However, we do offer consultations during our reach-out sessions on best practices for using email marketing service providers. Our parent company, Dowden Consulting LLC, along with other qualified partners or our preferred vendors, can offer these services. We discourage list buying, as it often involves third-party data rather than first-party data. Instead, we recommend building your list organically through our Amplify or Impact packages. Relevant Reach is designed to help you achieve quality, targeted content for your audience. For any questions about list management, please contact us at info@relevantreach.io.
What are 'Reach Out' sessions used for?
‘Reach Out’ sessions can also be used for strategy meetings designed to help you understand and create effective content for your audience. With our consultants, you can tailor content for various platforms, identify audience interests, and develop targeted messages. These 1:1 Zoom sessions, available exclusively in the Amplify & Impact packages, provide real-time assistance. Connect and Engage packages do not include this level of support. In addition, you can book a one-off ‘Reach Out’ session for $150 per hour if you purchased only the “Connect & Engage” package. These sessions assist with survey question formations, incentive/offer advice, dashboard data interpretation, and customized content creation from your dashboard(s). You can book a one-off session once you have completed your first session if you purchased only the ‘Connect & Engage’ package. Pre-paid ‘Reach Out’ sessions can be booked byclicking here
What is a segmented audience list and what data will I/we receive?
A segmented audience list is a group of potential customers or clients that have been divided into smaller, more specific categories based on shared characteristics or behaviors. This segmentation allows for more targeted and effective marketing efforts.
With our services, you will receive segmented audience data that includes advanced information across various categories based on your survey questions in our Amplify & Impact packages. This comprehensive data will enable you to own your first-party data and tailor your marketing messages and strategies to each segment, effectively meeting the needs and preferences of different groups within your overall audience.
Demographics (age, gender, income, education, occupation), Geographics (location, region, urban vs. rural), Psychographics (lifestyle, values, interests, attitudes), Behavioral (purchasing behavior, product usage, brand loyalty), and Technographics (technology usage, preferred devices, software, apps)

How does Relevant Reach (SM) ensure legal compliance and data privacy when providing audience-segmented lists?
How can the Amplify and Impact sessions and content suggestions benefit my business?
Can I see examples of how these sessions and content suggestions have helped other businesses?
Do you create my Sweeptakes Rules, Terms & Conditions, & Privacy Policy?
No, any surveys offering an incentive or giveaway with cash or similar value must be provided before your survey can go live. While we have a preferred list of vendors to help you achieve these results, Relevant Reach does not provide legal advice or related services. You are responsible for supplying Relevant Reach with your Terms and Conditions before releasing any surveys.

Why Do You Need a Privacy Policy for Surveying or Collecting Data?
What is a Privacy Policy, and why is it important for my business?
A Privacy Policy is a legal document that explains how your business collects, stores, processes, and shares personal information from users. If your business is collecting data through surveys or any other means, a Privacy Policy is crucial to ensure transparency and trust with your audience. It also helps you comply with various data protection laws and regulations.
Do I legally need a Privacy Policy if I collect personal information?
What kind of information is considered personal data?
Personal data can include any information that can identify an individual, such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, and even survey responses if they can be traced back to an individual. If your surveys gather any of this data, you need a Privacy Policy to outline how it will be handled.
How does a Privacy Policy build trust with my audience?
A clear and transparent Privacy Policy demonstrates to your audience that you take their privacy seriously. It helps build trust by showing that you are responsible with their personal data and committed to protecting it. This trust can encourage more people to participate in your surveys or provide data, as they will feel reassured about how their information is being used.
What should be included in my Privacy Policy?
A comprehensive Privacy Policy should cover:
- What data you are collecting and why
- How the data will be used and who will have access to it
- How the data will be stored and protected
- How long the data will be retained
- What data you sell or share, and for what purposes
- The rights of your users regarding their data (e.g., the ability to access, correct, or delete their information, and the right to opt out of future collection)
- How users can contact you with questions or concerns about their data
What are the consequences of not having a Privacy Policy?
Without a Privacy Policy, your business risks legal consequences, including fines and penalties, depending on the applicable laws in your region. Additionally, not having a Privacy Policy can harm your business’s reputation, as users may be reluctant to provide their personal information if they don’t understand how it will be used or protected.
How do data protection laws affect businesses that survey audiences?
If your business conducts surveys that collect personal data, you must comply with data protection laws such as GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations in your jurisdiction. These laws outline specific guidelines for collecting, storing, and sharing personal data, and failure to comply can lead to severe financial penalties.
What are the benefits of having a Privacy Policy beyond compliance?
- Enhance your credibility with customers and partners
- Protect your business from potential data-related disputes
- Increase participation in surveys or data collection efforts by reassuring users that their data will be handled responsibly
How often should I update my Privacy Policy?
Your Privacy Policy should be updated whenever there is a change in how you collect, process, or store personal information, or when new regulations come into effect. Regular reviews of your Privacy Policy ensure it stays current with your business practices and legal obligations.
Where should I display my Privacy Policy?
Your Privacy Policy should be easily accessible on your website or any platform where you collect data, including on surveys or forms. You should also include a link to the Privacy Policy before users submit their personal information, ensuring they are fully informed. Having a Privacy Policy in place is not only a legal requirement for businesses that collect data but also a best practice that fosters trust and transparency with your audience.
Once I establish a privacy policy, how do I administer it?
First and foremost, you must adhere to your own privacy policy; to do otherwise risks violating state and federal consumer law. Second, some state privacy laws require businesses to refrain from selling or sharing personal data except via specifically-worded contracts that protect personal data even when it is shared. Third, you must implement policies designed to protect the data you collect, and inform users if it is breached.
